KL Taxi Price Rise

"KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 — The Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) has proposed a 30 per cent
increase in taxi fares to help upgrade public transportation."

I made a simple comparison between Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Dubai. Refer to the table below:

The proposed price rise means, the new Taxi fare in Malaysia will be RM 11.3 / 10km.

thanks, what I get is RM3 1st km and RM0.20 for every 115 meter onwards. But I couldn't get the idle charge. I am quite amazed that such info is not readily available in any taxi association, pengangkutan am and ministers web sites.

From the news, it is 1st km RM3 and for every subsequent 115m RM0.10
It will be:
for 10km
RM 3 + RM (9000m/115 x0.1)=RM10.8
for 20km
RM 3 + RM (19000m/115 x0.1)=RM19.5

Riding on Iswara with limited space to move around, you need to pay RM10.8 for 10km distance. Is it worth?

At least in Thailand you got the chance to take Vios for 10km taxi riding for cheaper price.
